We Made Our First eBAY Sale!

At the beginning of 2024, one of the goals for Goats and Gold was to make $1,000 selling cards through our eBay store.  We are happy to report that we made our first sale!  We’ve put in a lot of work to build Goats & Gold into something that we would feel proud to share publicly and, while it’s been a lot more work than we anticipated, getting that first sale made it all worth it.

What did we sell?

Our first eBay sale was a Johnny Bench 1986 NL All-Star with an on-card autograph from a 2021 Topps Series 2 jumbo box.  The card number was #86AS-JB.  It’s safe to say that we were pretty excited to pull an autograph of a Hall of Famer like Bench.

How much did it sell for?

We originally had the card priced at $149.99 based on comps of the card and other Johnny Bench autographed cards.  We had a buyer submit an offer and ultimately let it go for a final sale price of $120.00.  After shipping and all other costs, we will walk away with $100.36, which puts us 10% of the way to our goal of making $1,000 through our eBay store.
